| Flame retardant polyamide (PA) has been widely applied in many fields of electronic andelectrical, automotive, home appliances. Halogen-free flame retardant PA has become a hotresearch and development with the trend of increasing environmental ideas and materialsgreen. The paper uses the good flame retardant polyphenylene oxide (PPO) to improve flameretardant properties of Nylon6(PA6). PPO is compounded with the red phosphorusmasterbatch, melamine cyanurate (MC) and non halogen flame retardants, which can gaingood flame retardant performance.At the same time, the PA6owns good mechanicalproperties, and its thermal deformation temperature had been improved, the scope ofapplication had been expanded. The research work of the flame retardant resin and flameretardant compound method was used to modify PA6, which it has developed a halogen-freeflame retardant PA6material with good flame retardancy and mechanical, halogen free flameretardant modified to develop a new idea and method for the polymer, both in scientificresearch and in industrial applications are of great significance.The thesis consists of thefollowing parts:Study on modification of compatibility of PA6/PPO. Using CX-1(PPO-g-MAH) as acompatibilizer to improve the compatibility of PPO and PA6. By means of DifferentialScanning Calorimetry (DSC), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Impact Strength andTensile Elongation Test to analyse and characterize of the compatibility principle andcompatibility level. Research shows that with the addition of compatibilizer, the meltingenthalpy PA6decreased, the dispersed phase PPO phase domain size smaller. When thecontent of CX-1was4%, PA6/PPO blend has higher Impact Strength (27.6kJ/m2) andElongation (120%).Study on PA modified flame retardant, including PPO,red phosphorus masterbatch, MCand PPO compounded with red phosphorus masterbatch or MC. Accession to the PPO, redphosphorus masterbatch and MC three to PA6can improve its flame retardant properties. PPOflame retardant efficiency is less than the other two kinds of flame retardants, but with the increase of PPO content, the vertical flame burn to clamp and horizontal flame burningthrough the calibration time distance increases, combustion rate decline. With the increase ofred phosphorus masterbatch or the content of MC, PA6vertical burning level through nolevel-V2-V1-V0level changes. PPO and red phosphorus masterbatch or MC compound,which can raise the same red phosphorus masterbatch content of MC or PA6flame retardantgrade, or reduce the content of target flame retardant grade required adding red phosphorusmasterbatch or MC. They play the synergistic flame retardant effect.Study on influence of PA6Impact Strength and Heat Deflection Temperature after PPO,red phosphorus masterbatch, MC and PPO compounding with the red phosphorus masterbatchor MC. With the increase of PPO content, the impact strength of PA6increased at first andthen decreased, when the PPO content is the highest at26%(with PPO045resin, the contentof compatibilizer was4%), and with the rise of red phosphorus masterbatch or MC content,the impact strength of PA6falling. The thermal deformation temperature, accession to thePPO, red phosphorus masterbatch and MC can improve PA6thermal deformation temperature,but the increase was more obvious in PPO. Using PPO and red phosphorus masterbatch orMC compound, can in the target flame retardant performance, get the impact strength, higherat the same time, the addition of PPO can significantly improve PA6thermal deformationtemperature, which will expand its use at high temperature. |
