With the development of the chemical industry, more and more organic substance is discharged into the natural environment. Most of which are long-standing, not readily available in the degradation of the natural environment of Persistent Organic Pollutants, and the most widely used is the pesticides. Atrazine, a typical triazine herbicides, has a good effect for the double-leaf plants (weeds). However, it’s very easy to transfer in the natural environment. It’s cumulatived easily to enter the drinking water system with rainwater and groundwater, contaminated soil, water, and plants. And what’ worse, it even through breathing ingestion, skin contact, or The food chain (network) to enter the human body, and endanger human health. It’s proved that atrazine is a potential carcinogenic endocrine disrupters, also known as the environment hormone. Currently, atrazine is absent worldwide. Therefore, it is an urgent need to find a new, fast, effective and simple method to remove this organics. This research studied atrazine as a object. A systematically study of the use of the electrochemical adsorption methods combined with the high-performance materials, activated carbon fiber removal of atrazine pollutants is carried outn. This study include the following aspects:(1)Research activated carbon fiber for atrazine such an organic adsorption performance, and explore the optimum adsorption conditions by changing the concentration of the initial solution, the temperature of the reaction solution, the pH of the solution. The study showed that:per gram activated carbon fibers can adsorb more than200g atrazine standard substances, and the removal of at least98%or more; synthesized experimental results and the running costs considerations, etc. when the temperature is20℃and pH=7, you can achieve the best adsorption effect.(2) It’s stuied that the electrochemical degradation process of the platinum electrode, and with different experimental conditions——current intensity, the electrolyte concentration, the reaction solution temperature, the solution pH changes, the tendency of atrazine removal. The study showed that:the electrode has a good effect for the removal of atrazine; when the current is increasing, the removal rate of no apparent regular increase; when the current intensity is30mA, the removal efficiency of former10min is up to96.27%. (3)It’s studied the electrochemical degradation process of activated carbon fiber electrode, and the atrazine removal rate can reach99%. Also studied the change of electrolysis conditions, such as current intensity, the concentration of the electrolyte solution, the temperature of the solution, the solution pH value, the impact of the removal rate of the comparison between the factors of the different variables and explore.(4)It’s compared the removal between two different sets of electrodes of platinum foil electrode and activated carbon fiber, the removal efficiency of activated carbon fiber electrode is also high, but slower than platinum foil electrodes. Ordinary activated carbon fiber material used in this experiment, has yet to be further strength its conductivity. This paper provide a certain foundation for the study of using the efficient adsorption material the under electrochemical techniques to dispose this organic matter in the water environment.
