The paper utilizes theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and field measurement research methods to carry out the work of equipment selection and engineering practice of fully mechanized caving face on the basis of2301working face in Xin julong coal mine, which have determined the height of coal cutting and provided the basis for the choice to support construction and stent parameters. The paper also have analyzed the principle of "machine" supporting selection and the stand-alone selection, respectively, based on the production and equipment selection requirements and the principle of selection of the Face Select and determined the model of the "machine". By field measurement of hydraulic support adaptability and the main process of matching and measured Shearer downtime caused by face type of major equipment failure. The paper also analysis the Face System reliability and the reliability of the "three machines", and offered direction to optimized and improved by field measurement equipment failure. Based on the selected Hydraulic support, coal winning machine and scraper conveyor, it has determined the sort of process to limit the production capacity of the face, and verified that the equipment failure rate reduction can effectively improve the yield of the face by simulation test. Optimization improved equipment applicants in the1302N of fully mechanized caving face, and have achieved good results.
