PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) is the fluorinated straight-chain polymer, made by the polymerization of tetrafluoroethylene monomer, it is widely used in various fields because of some excellent performance, such as chemical stability, aging resistance and thermal stability. It can be obtained by the polymerization of body, emulsions, suspensions and solutions, but only the suspension and emulsion polymerization are the main way to get PTFE. The Polymer Plus and Aspen Dynamic from ASPEN PLUS Company are applied to this simulation system in this article which uses the emulsion polymerization method as the background. Carrying out a semi-batch tank reactor system (water, modifier and initiator are the once feed, TFE monomer is the continuous feed). According to the actual production conditions, we do the simulation process under the steady state conditions and analyze of the main operating performance indicators of reactor, the effects of the changes on operating conditions of the product, then adding the corresponding dynamic information from the established steady-state process models and creating the corresponding dynamic model, after that, adding the appropriate controller (temperature controller, pressure controller and flow controller) and setting the control parameters. Then we can establish a dynamic process model of PTFE and analyze the impact of the changes of conditions on the entire system, after we finish all, transferring the data we get from the simulation to Matlab and the making analysis. Especially analyze the amount of APS which plays an important part in this reaction to get the most suitable amount of initiator, because of the fewer research work on this job, it’s so difficult to find the related data from the literature. Therefore, the research on this paper will make a great significance for the process of the tetrafluoroethylene emulsion polymerization in the future. |
