With the continuous improvement of people’s life, the demand for hardcover book is increasingrapidly. Therefore, the requirement of single hardcover equipment is more and more high. Currently,there are so-called automatic Case-makers on the market. However, it is difficult for them to adaptto diversification and small-batch production requirements, because of its long regulation time andlarge volume.Based on the research of Case-maker production at home and abroad, this paper design andoptimize a small digital Case-maker. Firstly, this paper analyzes the main features and technicalcharacteristics of the small digital Case-maker. On this basis, this paper describes the overallframework of the small digital Case-maker design, including mechanical system and controlsystem.Secondly, based on the study of the vacuum feeding device function, this paper design theunder-mounted vacuum feeding device. Then, based on the optimization of the vacuum feedingmechanical structure, this paper explore and establish a working stability control system for thevacuum feeding device. The actual operating results of the control system proved its efficiency andreliance under different working conditions.Thirdly, on the basis of the transfer device function, this paper design the belt vacuum transferdevice. In order to make the paper stably adsorbed on the vacuum belt, this paper optimize thelayout and size of the vacuum chamber bore and the feeding belt bore.Fourthly, based on the study of the hemming device and plate taken and release device, thispaper design none adjustment time hemming device and rotatable plate taken and release device.After that, establish the digital three-dimensional model and manufacture the prototype machine.Eventually, on the basis of the identified overall control system solutions, this paper elaboratethe design principles and specific implementation of the hardware system, including the HMImodule, the main processing module, the detection module and drive module. Thereafter, this paperelaborate the design process of the software system, including the main system boot module, paperfeeding module, hemming module and so on.
