Groundwater is the indispensable conditions of human economic and socialdevelopment. With the urban scale-up, population growth and the rapid development ofeconomy, pollution of groundwater caused by human activities is increasing. Taking aelectric plant of the west for example, this article simulated the pollutant transportsimulation. In order to obtain the relevant parameters in the study area, this papercarried seepage test, pumping test and water test.In this paper, after analysing theweather conditions, geological and hydrogeological conditions and other information inthe study area, established a hydrogeological conceptual model of the study area, thenused the groundwater simulation software Visual MODFLOW studying the transport ofpollutants in shallow groundwater. According to the results, the author provide aspecific method of later period management and make some analysis, providing areference for the groundwater recovery. The main results are as follows:1.The conductivity of vadose zone of the study area is from6.91×10-8cm/s~1.10×10-3cm/s,the conductivity of phreatic aquifer is from1.053×10-3cm/s~3.976×10-2cm/s,the effective porosity of phreatic aquifer is0.25.2.Seepage damaging, pollutant will go into the groundwater from the leak, at thesame time spreading to the downstream of groundwater. Pollutant leaking at tank farmsite, the concentration of pollutants in groundwater reduced the limits after running6970days; pollutant leaking at ash field, the concentration of pollutants in groundwaterreduced the limits after running2591days. The effects of pollutants on the water islonger, but the scope of pollution is controlled.3. When the contaminants leaked at the plant tank, variable the monitoring well topumping well.Using the model to identify predicted the results of different pumpingamount to arrive at a reasonable and economy pumping capacity. The groundwater solute transport model established in this article accurately reflectsthe actual characteristics of the study area groundwater systems and transport situation. It provides a scientific basis for the groundwater quality forecasting and pollutantabatement.
