Wei River is located in the Haihe basin which rainfall is abundant.With the increase on both sides of the bank of mining,leading to the water level was significantly higher than both sides of the groundwater level in Wei River.The Wei River,meanwhile,is seriously polluted and lead to both sides of underground water is varying degrees contaminated because of the existence of sewage outlets.In order to analyze the influence of the pollution of river water on the groundwater quality.This paper selected the Qimen River reach to Wuling River reach in Wei River as the subject and make the corresponding assessment about water quality through the investigation of sewage outlets’ current situation and monitoring five sections of underground water quality and surface water.Ultimately determine the five main factors named ammonia nitrogen,nitrite nitrogen,total hardness,sulfate and chloride ion which are impact the underground water through the river pollution.The relations of underground water quality and river pollution are obtained through simulate the migration process of different pollutants by Visual MODFLOW software in time.The main results are as follows:(1)Through the investigation of Wei River pollution situation and river surface water,monitoring and evaluating on both sides of the surrounding groundwater quality,it turns out that there are five major pollutants influence the groundwater polluted river water,which is ammonia,nitrite nitrogen,total hardness,sulfate and chloride ion.(2)With analysis the exceeding standard rate of different riparian distance of all kinds of pollutants in the groundwater,found the trend which is various pollutants exceeded the rate of riparian distance closer,the higher concentration of contaminants in groundwater,farther away from the river,the lower the concentration of contaminants in groundwater.The scope of influence of polluted river water on the groundwater around the two sides of the river is about 3km.(3)Simulate the change rule about five kinds of pollutant concentration changes with time by using the Visual MODFLOW,it is found that the groundwater observation well’s pollutant concentration and growth rate which is higher when the distance more closer to the river bank,and reach a certain period of time,all groundwater observation wells’ pollutants will tend to be stable,eventually,the observation wells’ pollutant concentrations are higher when more near river than far away from the banks of the river.It can obtained that the concentration of pollutant showing a downward trend along with the distance from the river bank and finally tends to be stable.
