1000kV UHV(Ultra High Voltage)AC transmission and substation engineering is being constructed. As the newly arising UHV line, 1000kV line has some new problems to be resolved. So the live-working of 1000kV UHV AC transmission line should be researched systematically from now to accommodate the normal running needs of 1000kV UHV AC transmission line after it being used. Meanwhile, in order to protect the worker’s safety in live-working and to provide the technical gist and rules for live-working, overhauling and maintaining in the future. It needs to research the safety protection for live-working on 1000kV UHV AC transmission line.It has mature experience in live working on 500kV AC and below transmission line in our country. And have researched the live working on 750kV AC transmission line. But haven’t researched the live working on 1000kV AC transmission line, and haven’t researched the safety protection for live-working on 1000kV UHV AC transmission line. So we do the researching in-depth on the problems. We have made the screen clothes of live-working on 1000kV AC transmission line by researching the influence of high electric field, current, electrostatic induction to worker’s body in live-working on transmission line. And doing the researching in-depth on the material of this screen, meanwhile, the text also introduces the function of this screen.Otherwise,we have done the cloth and whole clothing testing for the screen clothes of live-working on 1000kV AC transmission line, the testing for the electric field on worker’s body surface as climbing iron tower, the testing for the electric field in-and-out the whole screen clothes as live-working on equal potential line, the testing for the current flowing the worker’s body who wears a whole screen clothing, the testing for drawing arc and impulse current as worker entering equal potential line, the testing for breakdown of life-form under switching impulse voltage, the result shows: 1) Live-working on 1000kV AC transmission line is feasible and safe;2)The screen clothes of 1000kV AC transmission line can adopt the clothing which has over 60dB screen efficiency, and other parameters are according the GB6568.1-2000 standard. The screen clothes should be made to a whole style including jacketing, trousers and hat, and the brim of the hat should be made larger. Worker must wear a netted screen cover which has over 20dB screen efficiency on the face in live-working on 1000kV AC equal potential transmission line;3)It accords the demand of safety protection for live-working, when worker who wears the screen clothes of 1000kV AC transmission line is climbing iron tower and live-working on 1000kV AC equal potential transmission line;4)worker who goes into and out the 1000kV AC equal potential transmission line in live-working should use the electric charge shifting stick to reduce the impulse current as the electric charge shifting, meanwhile, it can avoid burning the screen clothes directly by electric sparkle;5)The screen clothes of 1000kV AC transmission line is according with the demand of safety protection for live-working on 1000kV AC transmission line, and we needn’t import the overseas screen clothes. The research has made the measures of safety protection for live-working on 1000kV AC transmission line.
