The requirement of tufting carpet is large in our country, but the tufting machine mainly relies on importing from other countries. The tufting technology of our country is backward.The dissertation referred control systems from other countries, completed the feasible technical program, and designed the control system of multi-level loop tufting machine based on CAN-Bus. The control system included two components, Jacquard control system and real-time monitor system. Specific studies as follows:(1) Control system overall design: By studying the carpet tufting principle and tufting carpet production process, based on CAN-Bus communications, the structure of control system was designed. Through research on the requirement of tufting carpet production process, the program of jacquard control system based on CAN-Bus was designed. According to the demands of field production and debugging technology, the program of real-time monitor system based on CAN-Bus was designed.(2) Jacquard control system design: According to the overall program of jacquard control system, combined with tufting process, based on jacquard device including spindle motor -servo motor - roller, the details of jacquard control system on CAN-Bus were designed. The algorithm of process pattern deformation was optimized, and the pattern recognition module was designed based on characteristics of process pattern, process parameters and the principle of pattern deformation. The CAN protocol was drawn up and the communication module was designed using thread technology. The motor control module was designed and the motor control algorithm was summarized from the relationship between carpet loop and speed ratio of servo motor and spindle motor. Software encryption module was designed based on an optimized hash algorithm.(3) Monitor system design: According to the features of jacquard control system and the overall program of real-time monitor system, a new type of online monitor system of servo motor based on CAN-Bus was designed. Parameters online reading system, on-line monitor and data analysis, real-time monitoring over servo motor of tufting machine, and fault diagnosis from communication function, the control circuit and servo motor had all been involved in the design work based on original hardware structure. The real-time monitor system facilitated the installation, debugging and fault diagnosis of servo motor in typical jacquard mechanisms of tufting machine.The control system software was designed using Delphi. The hardware and software of system has been installed and completed at the scene. Through improvement and perfection, the control system of carpet tufting machine has been applied on factory and obtained a great economic effect.
