Pneumatic conveying means transforming the solid particles with pressure gas power in the pipeline,which is widely used in electric, chemical, food grain, metallurgy, rubber, building materials, unload ship, medicine, feedstuff industry etc. And the feeder is essential part in the pneumatic conveying system, which is the necessary equipment that conveys the powder into the pipeline and mix it with the air.Especially in the positive pressure conveying system, the feeder is the main factor that decides the property of the whole conveying system.The venturi feeder is widely used in the pneumatic conveying system at its unique advantage. In this paper, based on the mechanism of pneumatic conveying, the influence that venturi feeder has to the conveying process is researched, and the relevant parameter influencing the venturi feeder property is analyzed, and the optimizing venturi feeder is designed by theory analyses and carried through by the relevant simulation.First, the domestic and overseas development about the thesis, the purpose and meaning of the research are explained.The characteristic and classify of pneumatic conveying is summarized briefly; the main parameter about pneumatic conveying design is narrated briefly.Feeders that are important structures in the pneumatic conveying system are classed based on the mechanism of pneumatic conveying; introduce the characteristics and suitable place of all kinds of feeders particularly and come up with the structure researched this thesis-venturi feeder.The operational principle of venturi feeder is discussed, first finish the formula derivation of the nozzle; second research and analysis the other important structures of venturi feeder; design the optimal venturi feeder according to the case; flow field and static pressure field of venturi feeder are simulated with numerical simulant software.Numerical simulating has been done to the designing optimal venturi nozzle, the simulating has confirmed theoretical analysis and calculation of venturi feeder.At last, the summing-up of the thesis is presented, the prospect of pneumatic conveying especially venturi feeder for the future is put forward.
