A Research On The Medical Knowledge Modeling For Clinical Diagnosis And Treatment

Disease classification systems occupy the kernel role of structured medical knowledgeon computerized medical-care construction now in process, which combined withoperation and procedure, medicine and chemical reagent, and laboratory medicineknowledge, they form the core knowledge base of digitalized medical knowledgemanagement system. Since popular medical knowledge classification systems presentmedical knowledge’s attributes and structures well, neither of them fit the requirementsof the clinical diagnosis and treat, nor the digitalized information system formedical-care. Aiming at solving this problem, this paper presents how to recognize andrestructure entities and relationships of medical knowledge, concerning both thecharacteristics of medical knowledge and the clinical requirements. It also provides aprototype of digitalized medical knowledge management system based on the revisedmedical knowledge base. The system will satisfy the clinical requirements, and suit tobe the core knowledge base for any medical-care organization’s information systems.Furthermore, it will give a powerful support in data layer to upper management systems,such as knowledge management, medical records management, medical resourcesmanagement, and medical decision management.
