| Aim: To investigate the relationship between expression and clinicopathologicalparameters of Apelin in colorectal cancer. Methods:Expression of Apelin in surgical specimens which including43colorectalcarcinoma tissues and36normal colorectal tissues were detected byimmunohistochemistry. Results: The expression of Apelin in carcinoma was increased than that in normalmucosa. The correlation between Apelin expression and histologic-al differentiation, lymph node metastasis and TNM stage was observed (P<0.05). However, the correlationbetween the Apelin expression and clinicopathological features of colorectal cancerincluding sex, age, tumor size was not found(P>0.05).Conclusion: Apelin existed in all CRC tissues and normal colorectal tissues. Theexpression of Apelin was enhanced in colorectal cancer. Apelin expression is closelyrelated with form and development of colorectal cancer. Apelin may be a importantbreakthrough point for CRC. |
