ObjectiveThe purpose of this paper was to contrast the blue-on-yellow perimetry andwhite-on-white perimetry in high intraocular pressure (OHT) patients, assessing thevalue of blue-on-yellow perimetry in early detection of visual function damage, andcombining with the central cornea thickness (CCT), to speculate the probability ofpatients with OHT who will development for early glaucoma.Methods38eyes of21patients with OHT and30eyes of15healthy controls wereexamined both by the standard automated (white-on-white, W-WP) perimeter andshort-wavelength (blue-on-yellow, B-YP) perimeter. The age and refractive diopter intwo groups were matched. The program24-2was performed on both B-YP andW-WP fields in two groups. Record the data of MD (mean damage)、PSD (patternstandard deviation)、 MD and PSD for statistics. All OHT patients examined byCCT, According to the B-YP, OHT patients were divided into B-YP normal groupand B-YP abnormal group, analyze the data of two groups of IOP(intraocularpressure), CCT (century corner thickness).Results38eyes of21patients with OHT, W-WP all showed normal,8cases(21.11%,8/38)of B-YP showed abnormal,Among them4cases of central scotoma,2cases of nasal side step,2cases of bow scotoma. Comparison of B-YP abnormal, B-YP normal group and healthy control group, the MD and PSD of of W-WP had nostatistical significance (p=0.07). Comparison of three groups, the MD of B-YP hasno statistical significance (p>0.05). Comparison of three groups, the PSD of B-YPwas statistically significant (p <0.001).Comparison of B-YP abnormal, B-YP normal group and healthy control group of two kinds of detection methods, both MDand PSD are have statistical significance(p<0.01).Two comparison between thethree groups, MD were all no statistically significant(p>0.05); PSD all havestatistical significance. Comparing B-YP abnormal group, B-YP normal group IOPand CCT, IOP has no statistically significant differences between two groups(p>0.50), two groups of CCT differences had statistical significance (p<0.05(one-tailedtest)); B-YP abnormal group CCT thinner than normal group B-YP.ConclusionWhen measures early defect of field vision, PSD is more valuable.B-YP canearly detect the early damage of visual function than W-WP in Part patients of thecurrent diagnosis as OHT. The OHT patients with the thinner CCT and B-YPabnormality may consider to diagnosis of the early glaucoma or more likely todevelop glaucoma.
