To detect the platelet surface expression of CD31(also was known as plateletendothelial cell adhesion molecule-1, PECAM-1), CD63(also was known as lysosomeintact membrane protein, LIMP) and the plasma level of FIB in patients with coronaryheart disease (CHD) and to explore the relationship between them and coronary heartdisease events. The platelet surface expression of CD31, CD63is measured tounderstand the body platelet active state and the plasma levels of FIB is measured tounderstand coronary artery plaque stability, which provide certain reference value forthe diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome(ACS).Objective: To detect and analyze the expression level of CD31, CD63in theplatelets from the patients with CHD. The correlation was studied between plateletCD31, CD63and the plasma level of FIB in the patients with CHD, and also wasstudied between platelet CD31, CD63and the Global Registry of Acute CoronaryEvents (GRACE) score in the patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS).Methods: A total of97patients that were admitted to Department of Cardiology,The2nd Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University from November2010toOctober2011. The subjects were divided into control group (n=33), stable anginapectoris (SAP) group (n=21), acute coronary syndrome (ACS) group (n=43). the ACSgroup included unstable angina pectoris (UAP)(n=22) and acute myocardial infarction(AMI)(n=21).5ml blood samples with citrate anticoagulation were collected prior foranticoagulant therapy. Flow cytometry and monoclonal antibody technology were usedto detect the expression level of platelet CD31and CD63. Plasma level of FIB wasdetected with the Coagulation method by STAGO STA-R Evolution analyzer. TheGRACE score was calculated according the GRACE score system. SPSS17.0software package was used for statistical analyses.The correlation was analyzed between theplatelet CD31, CD63and plasma FIB, and also between the platelet CD31, CD63andGRACE score.Results: The surface expression of platelet CD31, CD63was obviously higher inACS group than in SAP group and control group (P<0.05), and was shown nosignificant difference between SAP group and control group (P>0.05). Plasma level ofFIB was obviously higher in ACS group than in SAP group and control group (P<0.05),and was shown no significant difference between SAP group and control group(P>0.05). The expression of platelet CD31, CD63and plasma FIB were positivelycorrelated (r=0.337, P<0.05; r=0.287, P<0.05respectively). The surface expression ofplatelet CD31, CD63and the GRACE score were also positively correlated (r=0.377,P<0.05; r=0.361, P<0.05respectively).Conclusion:1. The platelet surface expression of CD31, CD63is significantly increased inACS; Detelting the expression level of platelet CD31, CD63in CHD may help todiagnose the ACS.2. In CHD the expression of platelet CD31, CD63and the plasma level of FIB arepositively correlated; expression level of platelet CD31, CD63may presage theinstability of coronary atherosclerotic plaque.3. In ACS the expression of platelet CD31, CD63are positively correlated withthe GRACE score, it may have the predictive value in the prognosis of ACS.
