Objective Investigated the changes about antibiotic resistance spectrum of Acinetobacter baummanii in pneumology department, to provide the basis for using clinical drug reasonably. Methods A.baummanii isolates were collected in our hospital pneumology departnent from January2009to December2012, and the positive ones were selected according to the standard of hospital infection which was established by Ministry of Public Health. The antimicrobial susceptibility was analyzed by disk diffusion method. All the data was analyzed by SSPS17.0software.Results A total of153A.baummanii isolates were collected from patients sputum specimen of pneumology department. The prevalence of A.baummanii appeared to increase year by year both in pneumology department and hospital, but the percentage maintained relatively stable level. Male patients were the main infected group in the population distribution, and the male to female ratio was3.4. The antibiotic susceptibility testing showed that the rates of resistance of common antibacterials in A.banmmanii were than50%, but there was not an elevated tendency during the past four years. The rate of sensibility to Polymyxin was the highest(100%), followed by Cefperazong-Sulbactam(96%). cefepime(76%), minocyline(70%), and the rate of sensibility about amikacin, imipenem, meropenem were among40%to50%.Conclusion Acinetobacter baumannii is a major emerging nosocomial opportunistic pathogen in hospital, which shows increasing prevalence and even multiple drug resistance with important clinical impact. To prevent the outbreak of A.baumannii infection,it is very important to adhere to reasonable medication, control the use of broad-spectrum antibiotics and complete drug sensitivity test before starting treatment of any infection by A.baumannii.
