| Objective:Eating Disorders (EDS), is a group of abnormal eating psychopath-ology, was considered to be limited to developed countries, but with the gradual penetration of Western values, the severity of symptoms of the Chinese girl EDS Forward Western countries nearly. All eating disorders have a high risk of death, especially anorexia nervosa, even more than the mortality rate of depressive neurosis. Thus, we explore the attitude to body shape, the prevalence, related factors of eating disorders among medical college female studengs. Examine the relationship between the deviation of perception, the deviation of expectation of one’s own body, fear of negative evaluation, body-esteem and the psychological factors related to eating disorders, and to provide evidence for the further therapy and investigation.Methods:Random cluster sample method was used, and total of265female students were selected and enrolled into this study according to include criterion. They were invited to answer questions from the Eating Disorder Inventory (EDI), BMI-based Silhouette Matching Test (BMI-SMT), Body-Esteem Scale for Adolescents and Adults (BES), Brief Fear of Negative Evaluation Scale (BFNE) and a questionnair related to individual, family and social attitude.. The data was analyzed by software SPSS17.0.Result:1.15students (6.30%) showed the EDS tendency. Its estimated total prevalence, diagnosed by EDI, was4.62%. The ratios of EDS among the groups of high attention information losing weight from media, living with dieting companion, badly discipline in childhood, lower body-esteem, and stronger fear of negative evaluation reached at35.71%,12.62%,10.75%,18.03%and13.85%, respectively.2. In the real light body shape goup, the score of the deviation of perception, the deviation of expectation of one’s own body, DT, BD, ID, IA and I are respectively lower than the control group, and the score of body-esteem, BES-Appearance, and BES-Weight are higher than the control group(P<0.05).3. The deviation of perception of one’s own body is positively correlated with DT, BD, ID, IA and I, and is negative correlated with body-esteem, BES-Weight, the deviation of expectation of one’s own body is positively correlated with DT, BD,B, ID, IA, I and FNE, is negative correlated with body-esteem, BES-Appearance, and BES-Weight.4. The score of DT in the groups of greatly media concern and the some concern is higher than the never concern group, the scores of BD, B, IA in the greatly concern group are higher than never concern group, the score of DT in the group of students who have dieting companions is higher than the group of none dieting comoanion(P<0.05).5. The scores of DT, I in the group of low body-esteem and the mid are higher than the group of high, the scores of ID, IA are highest in the low body-esteem group. The scores of DT, BD, B, ID, IA and I are lowest in the low fear of negative evaluation group(P<0.05).6. With logistic regression analysis the related factors included:the deviation of perception of one’s own body, the relation ship between parents and themselves, BES-Weight, and media attention interacted with the dieting companion (P<0.05). In our investigation15students(6.30%,2.25%~10.35%)reached the criterion of the eating disorders tendency groups, the estimated total prevalence of female students eating disorders diagnosed by EDI was4.62%(1.95%~7.29%).2. real normal BMI female students are easier to have dissatisfaction on their body.3. In addition to the reality of their own body shape, the ideal body shape also affects the body-esteem, and the deviation of expectation of one’s own body has an impact on the bodyf-esteem and fear of negative evaluation.4. the related factors included:body dissatisfaction, the relation ship between parents and themselves, media attention, the company whether dieting, low body-esteem. |
