Background:The infants,children aged <5years and maternal mortality rate are18.2‰,22.9‰and31.7/100000respectively in Guizhou in2010,"Chinese childrendevelopment compendium (2011-2020)"put forward to control the mortality of infantsand children aged <5years under13.1‰and16.4‰,at the same time,"the Chinesewomen’s development compendium (2011-2020)"put forward to control the maternalmortality under20/100000,but the current indexes we mentioned above are all faraway from the ideal target,so to launch the study of effective interventions according tothe main cause of death for women and children in rural areas of Guizhou,selecteffective interventions and provid priority interventions of children’s health to policymakers,have important practical significance for Guizhou rural areas where the relativehealth resources are lack.Objective:To understand the current children’s health situation of rural areas inGuizhou,select effective interventions and provide priority interventions of children’shealth.Method:(1) According to the LiST, sorting statistics institutions and household surveydata.Data source mainly includes three aspects:the basic health data of rural populationand children under the age of five is from national bureau of statistics,Chineseyearbook of health,national women’s and children’s annual report data;Women’s andchildren’s personal information using disposable cross-sectional household survey datacollection,based on "maternal and child health LiST intervention coverage questionnaire"developed by school of public health in Johns Hopkins University;Forthe unacquirable based data by using above two ways,we accepted expert consultationmethod to collect;(2)Inputting the coverage data of maternal and child healthinterventions into the Life Saved Tool (LiST) software,treating2008as abaseline,measuring and fitting direct and indirect intervention effect of children underthe age of five mortality and maternal mortality from2008to2015;(3)Doingcomprehensive analysis through combining field investigation data with the resultsLiST software carries.Result:Effective interventions reducing the mortality.neonatal:breastfeeding,hospitaldelivery and curative;1-59months:breastfeeding,preventive,vaccines andcurative;maternal mortality:hospital delivery is the most effective intervention duringchild birth in rural areas in Guizhou.Continued to expand the maternal folic acidsupplement,ORS and clinical measures such as neonatal recovery can further reducebirth deformities,diarrhea,premature deaths to newborn;and for1-59monthschildren,its function mainly embodies in the intervention of reducing the motalitycaused by diarrhoea and pneumonia.Conclusion:(1) The effective interventions focus on improving the environment andhealth habits,strengthening the medical quality of medical institutions,the promotion ofORS and Zn,put pneumococcal,rotavirus,Hib vaccines into the state planningimmune.(2)the current level of intervention coverage influence subsequent interventioncoverage expanded marginal effect, from2013to2015, further expanding institutionalbirths, can effectively reduce the guizhou rural area birth asphyxia, preterm birth andlow birth weight three cause-specific death toll, at the same time can effectively reducethe maternal mortality.(3)According to LiST,to strengthen grass-roots existing maternaland child health care selectively which may be more conducive to clarify future direction of the maternal and child health in the allocation of resources,to providereference for the follow-up studies.
