Objective: To construct multi-components library (MCL) of Radix PaeoniaeSinjiangensis and Smilax glabra Roxb., discussed the methods for separation andcharacterization.Methods: With the research model of “components of TraditionalChinese Medicines”, centering on constructing MCL, Radix Paeoniae Sinjiangensis andSmilax glabra Roxb.were selected as the targets, with the separation methods of differentpolarities and macro porous resin to get the crude extract component and different polaritycomponents, characterized the components by HPLC under the appropriate condition. Theantioxidant activity and antiplatelet aggregation activity of the crude extracts and differentpolarities components of Radix Paeoniae Sinjiangensis and Smilax glabra Roxb.werepreliminarily investigated in vitro pharmacological models. To bioactive characterizedMCL by the known active compounds.Combined the results of the in vitro activity withHPLC analysis of each component, to observe the compounds can be reflect the activity inthe components or not. Results:1.Get32components of Radix Paeoniae Sinjiangensisand31components of Smilax glabra Roxb.. Identified gallic acid, catechin, paeoniflorin,paeonol in Radix Paeoniae Sinjiangensis and taxifolin, astilbin, engeletin, resveratrol inSmilax glabra Roxb..2.Antioxidant activity:Radix Paeoniae Sinjiangensis:componentshave a good effect on scavenging DPPH·,CS-EA and CS-PE are better than VCinscavenging activity by·OH,CS-EA is good at scavenging·O2-,the reducing power is bad;Smilax glabra Roxb.:components have a good effect on scavenging DPPH·,TFL-EA isslightly less than VCin scavenging activity by·OH and good at scavenging·O2-,thereducing power is bad.3.Anti-platelet aggregation activity:CS-EA and TFL-EA have asignificant activity,part2of the component(EA-2) is the best.Conclusion:Established theMCL of Radix Paeoniae Sinjiangensis and Smilax glabra Roxb. combined the HPLCanalysis with results of pharmacological experiment of each component to characterize thecomponents′chemical and biological characterization. The result proved that known compounds was the basis material for activity in the components. Reasonable andeffective for the further development of resources Radix Paeoniae Sinjiangensis andSmilax glabra Roxb.provide research data.
