| With development of society, increment of pressure of daily life, the incidence of insomnia tends to increase. Basing on the investigation on epidemiology of insomnia, the incidence is as high as38.2%in adults in China. Insomnia is a common physiological and psychological disorder, may have severe negative impact on both work and activities of daily lives. The clinical presentations of insomnia are diversified, somatization and complicated, which may cause trouble in treatment and diagnosis of it.Objective:In order to expand the clinical effect further and verify whether it is effective to insomnia, we compare Shenshao Tablet with Wendan Tang, which has been proved as a effective medicine for insomnia, by random sample study, so that we may offer the exact evidence on systemic advantage of traditional Chinese medicine to treatment of insomnia, and offer the evidence to expand indication of Shenshao Tablet, guiding the clinical activitiesMethod:The adopted methods in this research include literature research; comparison of improvement of symptoms between pre-treatment and post-treatment; medicine evaluation of clinical sleep;100patients were enrolled in this research, those are divided into two groups randomly, treatment group and control group, Wendan Tang and Shenshao Tablet were prescribed in treatment group, Wendan Tang and placebo were prescribed in control group.Pittsburgh Sleep Scale, Chinese medicine symptom scale, sleep logs of all100patients before and after treatment, are compared and all data were analyzed with SPSS17.0statistical software.Result:1. The improvement in Pittsburgh sleep Scale in the group with Wendan Tang is better than control group after treatment.2. The reduction rate of TCM symptom scale in Wendan Tang combing with Shenshao Tablet is better than control group3.Shenshao Tablet show not only the effect on patients with myocardial ischemia, but also can improve psychological symptoms, sleep status, reduce cardiac discomfort sensation.
