| Objective:To compare the differences between mammotome and regional resection in biopsy of breast microcalcification, and evaluate the clinical value of them in the diagnosis and treatment of breast microcalcification.Methods:180patients with nonpalpable breast microcalcification were classified as Mammotome biopsy group(92) or regional resection group(88) in random, the success ratios of sample choosing, and the incident ratios of postoperative complications and so on were compared between the two groups. Results:The success ratio of sample choosing for Mammotome and Regional resection was100%and94.3%, respectively, the difference was of statistical significance (p=0.026). The incident ratio of postoperative skin cyanosis or ecchymoma in Mammotome and Regional resection group was8.7%and4.5%, respectively, and there was no significant difference in the two groups (P=0.264).Conclusions:Mammotome biopsy is a reasonable way in the diagnosis and treatment of breast microcalcification, and is better than Regional resection. |
