Each group then was subdivided toanother2groups1without solvent and2with solvent. Protaper Universal retreatmentfiles system was used for retreatment. Micro CT images were done to evaluate the rootfilling materials remnants. Results:More remnants were found in continuous wave of condensation groups than in lateralcondensation groups especially in the apical third (P<0.05). The time needed to reach theworking length was less in solvent groups (P<0.05), but the time needed for acceptablefilling material removal and the total time for retreatment were less in non-solvent groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:There was no retreatment technique gave100%clean canal. Continuous wave ofcondensation groups had more remnants than lateral condensation groups. Solvent groupswere faster to reach the working length, but needed more time than non-solvent groups toget acceptable root filling material removal. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | C-shaped canal, chloroform, cold lateral condensation, continuous wave ofcondensation, micro computed tomography, ProTaper Universal, root canal retreatment | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
