Objectives:To observe the expression and significance of zinc finger transcriptionfactor KLF4and KLF6in human bladder transitional cell carcinoma(BTCC), toanalyze the relationship between these two factors and formation and development ofBTCC.So as to explore the possibility of the two factors act as new gene therapytargets.Methods:Real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR(qRT-PCR) were used to detect theexpression of KLF4and KLF6mRNA in49cases of BTCC tissues and25cases ofnormal bladder tissues. Analyze the relationship between the expression of these twofactors and the clinical and pathological features of BTCC patients.Using SPSS19.0software for statistical analysis. Results:The qRT-PCR showed that the relative content of KLF4mRNA in BTCCtissues and normal bladder tissues were0.218±0.046and0.311±0.056, respectively. The difference between them was statistically significant(P<0.05). The relativecontent of KLF6mRNA in BTCC tissues and normal bladder tissues were0.198±0.038and0.285±0.043, respectively. The difference between them wasstatistically significant(P<0.05).The expression of KLF4in BTCC was related tohistological grade, TNM staging and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05), and have littlerelationship with sex and age(P>0.05). The expression of KLF6in BTCC wasrelated to TNM staging (P<0.05), and independent of histological grade, lymphnode metastasis, sex and age(P>0.05).Conclusion:The expression decrease of KLF4and KLF6may be closely associatedwith the carcinogenesis and invasion of BTCC. Intervention KLF4and KLF6activitymay become a new gene target for the treatment of BTCC.
