In people’s commune period, the Barefoot Doctor is primary health knowledge and skills ofgrass-roots health personnel in rural areas. The barefoot doctor has made important contributionsto the construction of rural health career in nearly20years time. Through the relevant investigationof the Barefoot doctors, the article explores the Barefoot doctor enlightenment for the developmentof rural medical and health service. Full-text is divided into five parts:The first chapter firstly expounds the background and basis of selection."Barefoot doctor" is arich subject; it became available for research in many fields. Many domestic and overseas scholarsstudying barefoot doctor, but first to "barefoot doctor" system has represented by a group ofscholars of Zhang Kaiyuan.After that, Yang Nianqun also did intensive research on barefootdoctors from the angle of political science and medical-social history. In recent years, a largenumber of valuable papers relating to the study on the rural cooperative medical and barefootdoctors appear.The second chapter firstly expounds the rural health condition before and after the foundingof the national policy, an introduction to the history of barefoot doctors. Number from theprevalence of various diseases and hazards, early national health situation is worse in rural areas,medical and health services are very backward. The rise and development of the "barefoot doctors",it is the best choice of the history and current conditions.The third chapter content analysis of Yinxian barefoot doctors.
