Objective: According the high KV chest radiography pneumoconiosisdiagnosis standard (GBZ70-2009) to class early coal worker’spneumoconiosis with HRCT images. To study pulmonary functionabnormalities in early coal worker’s pneumoconiosis with different HRCTclassification. To provide objective basis for early diagnosis coal worker’spneumoconiosis and treat pulmonary function abnormalities. Methods: Atotal of33cases are selected from disease control center in Chongqing. They are diagnosed as pneumoconiosis observed objects according to thepneumoconiosis diagnosis standard (GBZ70-2009). All of the cases have nosmoking, no pneumonia, no lung cancer, no pulmonary tuberculosis, no lungoperation and no other history of pulmonary disease. All of them areperformed pulmonary function tests, the maximum inspiratory chest spiralCT scanning and high KV chest radiography (provided by disease controlcenter). According to the high KV chest pneumoconiosis diagnosis standardclassify early coal worker’s pneumoconiosis with HRCT images. Analysisthose pulmonary function parameters, such as forced vital capacity, forcedexpiratory volume in one second, forced expiratory volume in one second/ forced vital capacity, maximum midexpiratory flow, peak expiratoryflow, forced expiratory flow25-75, toatal lung capacity, residual volume, residual volume/total lung capacity, carbon monoxide diffusion capacityand carbon monoxide diffusion rate with different HRCT pneumoconiosisclassification in all cases. Analysis pulmonary function tests results whetherthere are differences between different HRCT grading. Results:1. Comparewith high KV chest, HRCT can be more accurate and direct show themorphology and distribution of small nodules in the early coal workers’pneumoconiosis.2. There are significant differences in the small airwayfunction parameters (MMEF、 PEF、 FEF75、50) between differentgroups with HRCT classification in the early coal worker’spneumoconiosis(respectiveF=8.87,P=0.001,P<0.01;F=8.251,P=0.001,P<0.01;F=11.127,P=0.000,P<0.01;F=10.503,P=0.00,P<0.01). Conclusion:1.HRCT can be earlier diagnosis and classification early coal worker’spneumoconiosis.2. Pulmonary ventilation function abnormalities occurredin the early coal worker’s pneumoconiosis, especially the small airwayfunction decline.
