Study On Pharmaceutical Research Of Decoction Made From Powder Of Zingiberis Rhizome

Guiding by the theory of "powder decocting" in TCM, aiming at saving herbal resource by shortening decocting duration to thoroughly ensure the herbal quality, which may enhance the clinical efficiency, a decoction made from powder of Zingiberis rhizome without any excipient, is devised and derived by the methods of modern pharmaceutical techniques to change the physical condition such as the grinding granularity, then to preserve the herbal essence within medical materials. The preparation technology, quality standard, decocting condition for clinical utilization are discussed in this article, besides there is a comparison between the common pieces and decoction made from powder, in the terms of chemical nature, which eventually grounds a basis for the further study of decoction made from powder of Zingiberis rhizome.In the studying of crafting technology, initially, the powder size of Zingiberis rhizome concerns. There are several markers applied in order to screen out the best powder size, such as mouldability, extraction yield, filterability, Naphtha content, and most of all, the portion of6-gingero. Then, the craft procedure to obtain the decoction made from Zingiberis rhizome powder is confirmed by observing the drying time which marked by the forming availability and granule appearance. The steps are as followed:rough Zingiberis rhizome powder10grams, water spray by a ratio of0.92ml/g uniformly, then mix completely to get softwood, then to form by Extrusion granulating method and dry in40℃, finally the decoction will be prepared.Orthogonal test is set to assess the decocting condition for the essence of6-gingero and extraction yield in Zingiberis rhizome, and the result turns out to be:12times water of trial material, no soaking, decocting twice with10minutes per time.The resource, preparing craft, nature of Zingiberis rhizome is assured in the studying of quality standards for preparation. TLC identification method is established with Zingiberis rhizome as controlled herb and6-gingero as criteria. HPLC is taken to establish the content determination method, therefore a tentative portion of6-gingero (C17H26O4) over0.6%is determined. Besides, dampness, total ash, extraction, granularity are all tested in this study.For the chemical comparison between common pieces and decoction made from powder, the decoction portion and extraction yield at different time are adopted. By the methods of Comprehensive evaluation weighted, the dose relationship between Zingiberis rhizome and common pieces is1:1.14.Finally, the trial shows that the preparation craft is available and reasonable.
