Purpose:To explore the changes of tear film after combinedphacoemulsification, introcular lens implantation and trabeculectomy andfor cataract patients with glaucoma.Methods:90eyes of45cases with primary angle-closedglaucoma,primary open-angle glaucoma complicated with age relatedcataract were included in the recearch.51eyes of total cases treated withcombined phacoemulsification, introcular lens implantation andtrabeculectomy was setted Group A;the rest of39eyes untreated with anysurgery was setted Group B.Both Group A and B were evaluated for tearbreak-up time(BUT),corneal fluorescein staining(CFS),and Schirmer’s testⅠ (SIt)1day before the opertion and7,30,90days after the opertion.Allacquired data was analyzed statistically. Results: Group A was apparently different from Group B in BUT,CFSand SIt before the opertion and7,30,90days after the opertion, with astatistically significant difference(P<0.01,P<0.05,P<0.01).Compared with the preoperative,BUT value in group A was significantly reduced(P<0.01,P<0.05)and the CFS value was significantlyincreased(P<0.01,P<0.05) on7days and30days after surgery.SIt valuewas increased obviously(P<0.01) at7days postoperatively and weredecreased obviously(P<0.05)30days postoperatively.Until90days afteroperation, the results in BUT,CFS,SIt were close to the preoperativelevel. There were no clear differences in BUT,CFS,SIt between1daypreoperatively and90days postoperatively.Compared with the preoperativein group B,no changes in BUT,CFS,SIt were found at7dayspostoperatively(P>0.05).At30days and90days postoperatively,BUT andSIt value was obviously reduced(P<0.01).The CFS value was increasedsignificantly(P<0.01).Conclusions:Combined phacoemulsification, introcular lensimplantation and trabeculectomy has some effect on tear film during sometime postoperatively. The recovery of the tear film required a longtime.Anti-glaucoma agents had no aparent effection on tear film in theearly days after operation.we should prevent dry eye and pretect tear film inclincal work.
