Objective: Two treatments were selected in this study—herbs-separated moxibustionat the navel with needling Sanyinjiao and needling Sanyinjiaoto cure the patients withprimary dysmenorrhea, in order to observe the difference of metabolomics mechanismwith the two methods, attempts to explain the mechanism of herbs-separated moxibustion atthe navel in treating primary dysmenorrhea.Methods:20patients with primary dysmenorrhea were randomly divided into twogroups,10cases in the group of herbs-separated moxibustion at the navel with needlingSanyinjiao;10cases in the group of needling Sanyinjiao. Then we processed the bloodand urine sample of before and after trestment and analysised metabolomics, in order tocompare the differences between the two groups.Result: The metabolite spectrum two groups to cure the patients with primarydysmenorrhea has undergone significant changes. These metabolites are mainly related toprocess of amino acid metabolism and steroid metabolism and so on. Both groups canreduce prostaglandin, estradiol, dopamine, norepinephrine, and improving progesterone andto relieve the uterine smooth muscle spasm in order to alleviate dysmenorrhea. Comparedwith the group of needling Sanyinjiao, the group of herbs-separated moxibustion at thenavel can reduce oxytocin and histamine, improve nitric oxide and neurotensin to curedysmenorrhea. Conclusion: The metabolic mechanisms of umbilical moxibustion on primarydysmenorrheal syndrome are to adjust patients, with primary dysmenorrhea abnormalreproductive endocrine hormone level, to improve their nervous, endocrine network status to reduce pain and to improve concomitant symptoms of primary dymenorrhea.Herbs-separated moxibustion at the navel with needling Sanyinjiao and needlingSanyinjiao have synergies.
