| Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical value of UE in differential diagnosis of benign and malignant parotid space-occupying lesions.Methods65patients with76parotid gland space-occupying lesions were examed by UE mode, regard scoring3points as as critical indicate of benign and malignant lesions, and compare surgical pathology results. All the data are analysed by SPSS17.0statistical software. Results (1) The benign and malignant parotid lesions are most scored0~2points and3~4.points respectively, the results of two groups are tested by chi-square test, the difference has statistical significance. The average score of benign and malignant group is2.26±0.652,3.13±0.606, respectively, the results of two groups take t-test, the difference has statistical significance.(2) The compare of accuracy of the UE method, two-dimensional ultrasound and doppler ultrasound in diagnosing malignant and benign lesions has no statistically significant.(3) The comparison of Youden index of Elastic scoring method〠two-dimensional ultrasound and doppler ultrasound has statistical significance.(4) The average score of21pleomorphic adenomas and19adenolymphoma is2.40±0.577%2.11±0.465, respectively. The result of two groups take t-test, the difference has statistical significance.Conclusions1. UE provides information about hardness of tissues, can help the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant parotid space-occupying lesions.2. The average score of malignant lesions group is higher than benign lesions group’s, most benign lesions are scored0~2points, while most malignant leions are scored3~4points, but some of benign lesions overlaps with malignant lesions in the elastic image.3. In this study, the clinical value of doppler ultrasound in diagnosing benign and malignant parotid space-occupying lesions is below UE scoring method and two-dimensional ultrasound’s.4.The pleomorphic adenoma is harder than adenolymphoma.5graphs,7tables,31references... |
