Objective:To investigate the expression of Runx3and p53in pancreatic cancer, paraneoplastic and normal pancreatic tissues, and to evaluate the relationship between Runx3, p53and pancreatic cancer, respectively. Methods:The expression levels of Runx3and P53in pancreatic carcinoma tissue, paraneoplastic tissues, and normal pancreatic tissue were tested by immunohistochemistry(SP).Results:The expression rates of Runx3in pancreatic carcinoma tissue, paraneoplastictissues and normal pancreatic tissues were55.56%,86.67%and100%,respectively.The difference of expression ofPancreatic cancer and paraneoplastic were statistically significantly higher(P=0.001); The difference of expression of pancreatic cancer and normal tissue were statistically significant(P=0.005); There was no relationship between Runx3expression and clinicopathological findings, including gender, age, tumor location, tumor size. The expression ratesof p53in pancreatic carcinoma tissues, paraneoplastic tissues and normal pancreatic tissues were60%,24.44%and0, respectively. The difference of expression of Pancreatic cancer and paraneoplastic were statistically significantly higher(P=0.001); The difference of expression of pancreatic cancer and normal tissue were statistically significant(P<0.000); There was no relationship between p53expression and clinicopathological findings, including gender, age, tumor location, andtumor size. The spearmen test showed that theexpression of Runx3and p53in pancreatic cancer tissues was negatively correlated(r=-0.745, P<0.001).Conclusions:1. Theexpressionlevel of Runx3protein in pancreatic cancer tissue is lowerthan that inparaneoplastic tissues and normal pancreatic tissue. It prompted thatthe low expression or without expression of the Runx3may be related to the occurrence and development of pancreatic cancer.2. P53protein expression in pancreatic cancer is higher than that of pancreatic cancer tissue and normal pancreatic tissue. Abnormal expression p53in pancreatic cancer was related to it is differentiation, lymph node metastasis.3. The expression of runx3and p53in pancreatic cancer was negatively related.
