To Study The Influence Of Shu-Mu-point Combination On Plasma GAS And GHR In Functional Dyspepsia Patients | Posted on:2014-03-17 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:D H Zhang | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2254330425985997 | Subject:Acupuncture and Massage | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | Objective:To observe the influence of acupuncture on GAS and GHR in plasma level for Functional Dyspepsia(FD) patients by comparing needling single Back-Shu point (BL21),single Frontal-Mu point(RN12) and the combination of two points mentioned above, and to explore the mechanism of synergism effect of acupuncture at Shu-Mu-point combination on regulating the gastrointestinal function. Methods:The study included54FD patients and40healthy volunteers.54FD patients were randomly divided into three groups:Group A, Group B and Group C with18cases in each group. Group A was administered puncturing on Wei-shu point(BL21), while group B on Zhongwan point (RN12) and group C on Back-Shu (BL21) combined with Frontal-Mu (RN12) point. Manual acupuncture was used at these points respectively once daily and totally for20days. The Dyspepsia Symptom Score (DSS) and Nepean Dyspepsia Life Quality Index(NDLQI) were used to evaluate the clinical efficacy before and after acupuncture treatment in three groups. Enzyme-linked ImmunoSorbent Assay(ELISA) technique was used to detect the concentration of GAS and GHR in plasma level of FD patients before and after acupuncture in each group.Results1.The clinical efficacy evaluation of acupuncture for FD in three groups with different acupoints:(1) There were no statistical differences in baseline data of the three groups (P>0.05);(2) Acupuncture at those points in three groups could significantly lower the DSS (P<0.05) and improve NDLQI score(P<0.05) for FD patients after the treatment; no statistical differences showed between the three groups (P>0.05).2.The influence of acupuncture on GAS and GHR in plasma level for FD patients in three groups:(1) The GAS and GHR in plasma level for FD patients were significantly lower than those in healthy volunteers (P<0.05); (2) The results of comparison in each group:Acupuncture at Wei-shu point(BL21) can significantly improve GAS in plasma level (P<0.05),while had no obvious influence on plasma GHR.Acupuncture at Zhongwan point (RN12) can significantly improve the plasma GHR(P<0.05),but had no obvious influence on plasma GAS.Acupuncture at Wei-shu point(BL21) combined with Zhongwan point (RN12) can both significantly improve the GAS and GHR in plasma level(P<0.05).(3) The results of between-group comparisonThere is no significant statistical difference in improving the plasma GAS between group C(after acupuncture at Wei-shu combined with Zhongwan point) and group A (after acupuncture at Wei-shu point). There is significant statistical difference in improving the plasma GHR between group C (after acupuncture at Wei-shu combined with Zhongwan point) and group B(after acupuncture at Zhongwan point);the improvement in the former group was more significant.Conclusions1.Acupuncture at Wei-shu point(BL21) can improve the plasma GAS,and acupuncture at Zhongwan point (RN12) can improve the plasma GHR,while acupuncture at Wei-shu (BL21) combined with Zhongwan (RN12)point can both improve the plasma GAS and GHR and enhance the effect of improving the plasma GHR than single Zhongwan point (RN12) and single Wei-shu point(BL21).2.Acupuncture at stomach Shu-Mu-point combination can integrate and enhance the function of single Wei-shu point(BL21) and single Zhongwan point(RN12) in regulating gastrointestinal hormones, which is probably one of the important mechanism by which Shu-Mu-point combination has synergism effect on regulating the gastrointestinal function. | Keywords/Search Tags: | Stomach Shu-Mu-points combination, Acupuncture, Functionaldyspepsia, gastrin, ghrelin | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
