Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship betweenexpressions of BRCA1,TUBB3and efficacies of platinum-based chemotherapy inadvanced non-small-cell lung cancer. It provides a new theoretical basis forprognosis of non-small-lung cancer. Methods: The expressions levels of BRCA1and TUBB3were detected byimmunohistochemical two-step method. The relationship between theirexpressions and the clinical efficacies of chemotherapy were retrospectivelyanalyzed.Results:1.The rate of higher expression of BRCA1was34.8%, the efficacy ofBRCA1-lower expression is obviously better than that of patients withBRCA1-higher expression, There was a significant difference between these twogroups (30.4%vs67.4%p=0.004).2.The effective rate of TUBB3-higherexpression was59.4%,and TUBB3-lower expression was50%, while these twogroups illustrated no significance (P=0.445).3.According to the statistical analysisof clinical data, there were no significance between expressions ofBRCA1,TUBB3with the patient’s age, clinical stage and histological type.Conclusion:1.Platinum is more suitable for the advanced non-small-cell lungcancer patients with lower expression of BRCA1.The expression level of BRCA1could be used to predict the efficacy of advanced non-small-cell lung cancertreated by platinum.2. This study do not reflect that the TUBB3is a predictivefactor.3.The expression of BRCA1and TUBB3are not correlated with theclinical features.
