| Objective:The purpose of the study was to establish the evaluation index system for the post competency of charge nurse in cardiovascular internal medicine department,based on methods of literature review, semi-structured interview, theoretical analysis and Delphi expert consultation.It provides the data and information for the authorities to carry out hierarchical appointment and performance appraisal for charge nurse in cardiovascular internal medicine department.Methods:1. Literature review:to get the hang of research and development trends of the competency of cardiovascular internal medicine nurses at home and abroad, to form the post competency initial item pool of charge nurses in cardiovascular internal medicine department, and to compare and analyze the connotation and the structure of the post competency. 2. Semi-structured interview:The study analyzed the conceptual model from the data collected from20persons with different qualifications by semi-structured interview, such as five doctors with senior technician title,five nursing leaders with management experience in cardiovascular internal medicine,five nursing experts with medium-grade professional title and work in the department for more than ten years and clients were charged in the department more than two times in order to obtain characteristics of charge nurse in cardiovascular internal medicine department.3. Theoretical analysis:The item was analyzed on the basis of the nursing professional development of our country’s relevant policies and regulations, and professional nurse training goal, combined with the situation of our county, to form the evaluation indicator draft of the nurse in cardiovascular internal medicine department.4. Delphi expert consultation:The post competency model was determined by two rounds consultation of25experts using Delphi, to assign a value, and to develop" the clinical nursing teachers competency assessment scale".Results:1. Define the concept and connotation of the first and second index items.2. Form the initial framework of evaluation indicator system for the post competency of charge nurse in cardiovascular internal medicine department through literature research method, semi-structured interview and theoretical analysis method.3. The post competency model was determined by two rounds of the experts consultation, to assign a value, and to develop" the clinical nursing teachers competency assessment scale".4. Delphi expert consultation reliable analysis:questionnaire recovery rate was96.2%,100%, which indicated that the experts’ enthusiasm is high; Expert group personal authority was in0.70above, experts group coefficient was0.89, which showed that expert group has good representative level and authority. The variation coefficient was between0%-18%, and there was a statistical significance for expert consultation coordinate coefficient according to the chi-square p value is less than0.05that the coordinate coefficient of level-land level-2were0.585and0.275respectively. It indicated that the coordination extent increased gradually, the experts’suggestion was centralized.5. The Evaluation Index System for the post competency of Charge Nurse in Cardiovascular internal medicine department was established, which includes5level-1dimensions (containing professional knowledge, skills, abilities, personal traits, and value),20level-2dimensions and56level-3items.Conclusion:The post competency of charge nurse in department was established by literature analysis method, semi-structured interview, theoretical analysis method and Delphi expert. It is scientific, reliable, and complete, containing5level-1dimensions,20level-2dimensions and56level-3items. It provides a scientific methodology idea for cardiovascular internal medicine charge nurses’hierarchical appointment, evaluation and training.Subsequent research proposals:To increase the behavior of the quantitative evaluation index, further enhance operability and objectivity; to expand research object scope, and increase the sample size; assessment scale is to be measured with analysis validity and reliability, further adjusting index system. |
