Therefore, the management of postsurgical and posttraumatic, and, particularly nonhealing chronic wounds is essential in daily clinicalroutine. Wound healing is defined as the closure and reconstruction ofinjured tissues.Erythropoietin (EPO, erythropoietin) is a kind of glycoproteinhormones in mammals, its main function is to promote red blood cellprecursors proliferation, differentiation and mature. Synthetic EPO ismainly composed of the kidney, in addition, human skin hair follicle canalso synthetic EPO, and express the EPO receptor (EPOR), skin is notvisible but the synthetic EPO organ, is a target organ EPO. Thisexperiment, we through the establishment of rabbit ear skin defect wound, applies rHuEPO local skin wounds, with gold for peptide (recombinanthuman epidermal growth factor) and observation of rHuEPO effect onwound healing and epithelial skin defect. In the treatment of skin defectwound healing looking for a new drug and provide theoretical basis fordrug delivery channels. Objective:To observe the influence of recombinant humanerythropoitin on wound healing and explore their possible mechanisms init.Methods:24Japanese rabbits with big ears were randomly dividedinto4groups(n=6). They are respectively control group: NS group, termed as Group A; lowdose group:300IUrHuEPO, termed as Group B;high dose group:300IUrHuEPO, termed as Group C; positive controlgroup:2000IU recombinant human epithelial growth factor, termed as Group D. The rabbit ears skin wound healing models were established, then the wound were treated and observed the wound healing andhistological variation in different groups were examined and analysizedafter3days and12days of operation.Results:1) after made the mould3d, the wound histologic gradingresults there was no significant difference (P>0.05);2)12d, afterbuilding the experimental group wound healing rate is significantly higherthan control group (P <0.01);3)12d,after building, histologic score werehigher in experimental group than the control group,(P <0.01);4) afterbuilding12d,3d, immunohistochemical expression of VEGF inexperimental group is significantly higher than the control group. Conclusion: Topical rhEPO treatment promotes rabbit ear woundhealing possibly trough increasing VEGF expression.
