Objectives:To investigate the correlation between syndrome element distribution characteristics and tumor markers (CA199、CEA) during the postoperative chemotherapy intermittent periods of gastric cancer in Fuzhou, and provide reference and basis for TCM syndrome research.Methods.We included76cases of postoperative gastric cancer patients by the standardized collection of four diagnostic information in four chemotherapy intermittent periods, then used the method of the syndrome factor elements integral,to obtain location and syndrome of gastric cancer. We divide it into different groups according to sex and period and compare the constituent ratio of each syndrome elements. At the same time, we collect level of tumor markers (CA199、CEA) during the chemotherapy intermittent period, compared with each syndrome element and analyze.Results:1. Age distribution characteristics:mainly in60-69years old, more men than women.2. Syndrome distribution characteristics:the main syndrome elements of disease location is the stomach, and then the spleen, liver, lung and kidney; the main nature of disease is wet, and then Yin deficiency, qi stagnation, qi deficiency and heat.3.Compare the different gender groups:the disease syndromes "liver" of female group is higher than male group, while disease syndromes "spleen" and "lung" of male group is higher than the female group.4.Comparison of different chemotherapy intermittent periods:during four period, the composition of disease syndrome "stomach" in the second session, and third session chemotherapy intermittent periods increased, but the fourth chemotherapy intermittent period decreased; the disease syndromes of "spleen" increased in second, third, fourth period. The composition difference of the main nature of disease in different chemotherapy intermittent periods were not statistically significant. 5.Correlational between syndrome elements and tumor markers:syndrome elements of disease location "stomach" was positively correlated with CA199; syndrome element "Qi deficiency" was positively correlated with CEA.Conclusion:1.The main disease location syndrome of postoperative gastric cancer during chemotherapy intermittent periods in Fuzhou is in stomach; the main disease nature syndrome is wet, relating to the chemotherapy damages in stomach and spleen, area climate, eating habits and constitution characteristic. Treating this disease from "stomach" and "wet" has significant meaning.2.Syndrome varies in different sexes:male patients pathological changes with syndrome element "liver", relating to "the woman is innate in liver". Disease syndromes "spleen" and "lung" of male group is higher than the female group, that means when treating men,we should pay attention to the syndromes of "spleen" and "lung".3.The found that distribution varies in different chemotherapy intermittent periods prompt that "tonifying spleen"must be done during the whole period of gastric cancer treatment and "regulating stomach descending adverse qi" should be done during the period of chemotherapy.4.The found that distribution varies in different chemotherapy intermittent periods prompt that "invigorating and tonifying spleen"must be done during the whole period of gastric cancer treatment and "regulating stomach descending adverse qi" should be done during the period of chemotherapy.5.Syndrome elements of disease location "stomach" was positively correlated with CA199; disease element "Qi deficiency" was positively correlated with CEA. That means those two tumor markers level can provide basis reference for TCM Syndrome.
