| OBJECTIVE: The study aimes to understand the current status ofmanagement of Hospital Central Sterile Supply Department,and analysis thetraining qualification. Then construct an evaluation index system that isscientific, comprehensive, objective, qualitative and quantitative, and consistentwith the practice of hospital sterile supply department.METHODS: First,an questionnaire survey was carried out in158Hospitalsand Hospital’s Central Sterile Supply Departments selected by stratifiedsampling in guangxi zhuang autonomous region. Then a field survey was carriedout in47of the158Hospital Central Sterile Supply Departments. Base on this,two rounds of questionnaires consulted for15experts from related fields werecarried out with the Delphi method in inorder to screen and determine theevaluation indexes of the staff training in Central Sterile Supply Departments.The index which variation coefficient was more than0.25would be deleted, andaccording to the experts’ advices, the evaluation indexes would finally detemined.RESULTS: In158Hospitals and Hospital’s Central Sterile SupplyDepartments,143returned the questionnaires. In143Hospital Central SterileSupply Departments,141received the cleaning, disinfection and sterilizationservices,2Central Sterile Supply Departments commissioned other hospitals tohandle the sterilization bussiness. There were96of the143Central SterileSupply Departments realized the centralize management. In the141CentralSterile Supply Departments,2.1%used mechanical cleaningmethods,23.4%used hand-washing. In136supply centers that Use pre-vacuum pressure steamsterilizer,86%carried out the BD test daily before sterilization,97%carried outbiological monitoring weekly. In143supply centers,96.5%had established andimplemented job training and continuing education system. when one staff ofeach Central Sterile Supply Department was asked about the relevent questionesduring the field survey,75.9%answered correctly. There are20of47CentralSterile Supply Departments asked for guidance and advice on professionaltraining.The effective recovery rate of two rounds of questionnaires was100percent, the coefficient of authority of experts on the evaluation index was0.87,the maximun value of the viriation coeffiction was0.23, the CoordinationCoefficients of frist-class indexes, second-classindexes, and third-class indexeswere0.353,0.462,0.696, while the consistency test of the indexes meet therequirements of the logical consistency, which indicated the weight of all of theindexes were scientific and objective. Finally the evaluation indexes of stafftraining in Central Sterile Supply Departments was established, which consistsof4frist-class indexes,12second-classindexes,40third-class indexes.CONCLUSIONS: The study reviews that the management of Central sterile supply department needs to be improved continuously, the trainingeffectiveness needs to be strengthened. And there was a lack of a comprehensiveand systematic evaluationof training effectiveness. Therefore, it was consistentwith the requirements of the practice and urgently needed that the establishmentof a scientific, standardized evaluation index system of training of staff inCentral sterile supply department. There was far-reaching significance to ensurethe quality of staff trainning in Central sterile supply department,then enhancethe quality of the entire sterile supply service team. |
