| Objective:To investigate CTVE (CT virtual endoscopy) and their applications of transsphenoidal pituitary surgery.Methods:27patients with pituitary adenoma were treated by transsphenoidal endoscopic resections. The CTVE images of Sellar Region were reconstructed with the presurgical CT data at workstation, and compared with intraoperative endoscopy view. To analysis their correlation of CTVE and intraoperative endoscopy view in the operative approach.Results:The CTVE images could indicate the anatomy of sphenoid sinus and sellar floor more visually than intraoperative endoscopy view. the CTVE visual fields of sphenoid septa, sellar floor and clivus notch were larger than the views from the intraoperative endoscopy.Conclusion:CTVE could display the anatomic symbols of sphenoid sinus and interior structures in a three-dimensional mode. CTVE could help preoperative planning and increase the safety of the endoscopic transsphenoidal pituitary adenoma surgery. |
