| Objective:To observe left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF), changes in6minutes walking distance, NYHA heart functional classes, serum brain natriuretic peptide(BNP), in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) and clinical efficacy of their change with treatment of the method Jianxin Decotion combined with western medicine. In order to evaluate the efficacy of the method Jianxin Decotion and further explore its possible mechanism of action.Methods:1.60patients with CHF were randomly divided into two groups. The control group30cases was treated by conventional therapy and the treatment group30cases were added with Jianxin Decotion therapy for a total of four weeks besides conventional therapy.2. All the CHF patients were tested for plasma BNP, scores of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) symptom, life quality,6minutes walking distance, and the density of serum brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) before and after being treated for four weeks.3. The changes of clinical symptoms and physical signs integral were observed in those patients. The changes of echocardiogram and improvement of NYHA heart function were observed in those patients.4. All continual variables were compared with the use of t tests. Ratio comparisons were made using x2test,P<0.05or P<0.01was taken to indicate statistical significance sense..Results:1.Comparison between before and after treatment in the treatment group and control group:NYHA heart functional classes were improved significantly after treatment (P<0.05), LVEF was significantly improved after treatment(P<0.05); The symptoms and the physical signs of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) were ameliorated significantly after treatment(P<0.05). Life quality were ameliorated significantly after treatment (P<0.01). Serum brain natriuretic peptide(BNP) was decreased significantly after treatment, which indicated statistical significance (P<0.01).2.Comparison between the treatment group and control group:standard curative effects of NYHA heart functional classes after treatment in the treatment group had ameliorated significantly with that of the control group(P<0.05). LVEF were improved in the two groups, and treatment group was superior to control group(P<0.05),6minutes walking distance was extended in the two groups, and the treatment group was superior to control group(P<0.05). The symptoms and the physical signs integral of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) after treatment in the treatment group were superior to that of the control group(P<0.01). Life quality were ameliorated statistical significantly after treatment(P<0.01). Serum brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) in the two groups decreased significantly after treatment(P<0.01), and the treatment group was superior to the control group (P<0.05). There were not serious adverse reactions in the two groups.Conclusion: in treatment of patients with CHF, the method Jianxin Decotion combined with routine western medicine are superior to only routine western medicine, which could significantly improved the patient’s life quality. The possible mechanism:1. it would affect RAAS system, reduce water-sodium retention, relieve anterior and posterior cardiac loading and then improve the cardiac function.2. it would improve the Autonomic nerve function of the patient with CHF, restrain sympathetic nervous excitement, activate vagus nerve, reduce oxygen consumption of myocardium, and then improve heart function of the patient. |
