| Objective: In this study, intractable facial paralysis patients as the object of observation, who were treated by opposing needling therapy. To explore new ideas by opposingneedling therapy and objective evaluate the efficacy on intractable facial paralysispatients. Exploring the etiology and pathogenesis of intractable facial paralysis.Optimization scheme with acupuncture in the treatment of these patients. Theimplementation of specific strategies to improve the cure rate for facial paralysispatients, so as to reduce the incidence of intractable facial paralysis, alleviate thedamages caused to patients, and recovery the daily life and social activities of thesepatients.Methods:60intractable facial paralysis patients were selected from the acupuncturehabilitation clinic of the Anhui Province Chinese medicine hospital from January2012to May2013. They were randomly divided into treatment group and control groupwith30cases in each group. The treatment group were treated by opposing needlingtherapy. The control group treated by conventional acupuncture therapy. H-B facialnerve grading recovery score standard and Young’s facial paralysis degree were used asefficacy evaluation criteria. Self-rating Depression Scale serves as the patient emotionalevaluation standard. Both two groups were evaluated by the above methods before andafter treatment. SPSS17.0is used to perform statistical analysis after finishing thetreatment. Results: After3courses of treatment, the H-B score, the Young’s score of the treatmentgrouphave very significantly difference between before and after therapy(P<0.01); TheH-B score, the Young’s score of the control group have significantly difference betweenbefore and after therapy (P<0.05); The SDS score of the treatment group and the controlgroup have significantly difference between before and after therapy (P<0.05); the H-Bscore, Young’s score, the SDS score and the clinical efficacy of two groups have no significantly difference after treatment (P>0.05).Conclusions: The data indicated that both opposing needling therapy and conventionalacupuncture therapy have effect on intractable facial paralysis. However, compared tothe ordinary acupuncture, opposing needling therapy can obviously shorten the courseof treatment and reduce the sequelain of intractable facial paralysis. Opposing needlingis based on the whole concept of Chinese medicine. It reflects the good needle cananalyze in a different angle to solve the problem. |
