Acne vulgaris is a common and frequently encounted department of dermatology which often happens to pubertal people. It is the chronic inflammation folliculus pili sebaceous glands. According to statistic 30% of adolescent had active acne. Sites of predilection are the face and upper trunk. The clinical presentation of acne can range from a comedonal to papule, pustule, node, severe inflammatory cyst, accompanying the overflow of sebum. Multiple factors cause ache vulgaris. Leading causes are redundant exudation of testosterone, hyperkeratosis of pilosebaceous follicles gland, redundant exudation of sebum, the bacterium. Now the measure treatments are antibiotic, antitestosterone, vitamin A, estrogen. Because of the byeffect, those medicine appliance to clinic is limited.In this research 42 patients with mild to moderate acne were divided into two groups at random. 25 of studied group and 17 of control group. Studied group was treated by high intensive narrow band blue light(415nm±3um, OMILUX blue) and red light(633nm±3nm OMILUX revive)combined with traditional Chinese medicine: cuochuangling granule, while control group solely by. cuochuangling granule Both of course of treatment are one month. All the rash are counted before and after the therapy. And we determine the. physiological index of epidermis including corneum moisture、sebum and the pH value. The results of observation proved that the effect of phototherapy combined with traditional Chinese medicine is superior to therapy of solely traditional Chinese medicine. The data showed that studied group got more significant reduction rate compared with control group. in clering the inflammatary ache lesions. Phototherapy can also improve comeum moisture of epidermis. Blue-red light combined with traditional Chinese medicine provide us a new attractive way to treat acne.
