Creativity is the unique ability of human beings. Since1950s, even we have make a huge progress on the definition, measurement, evaluation and Influencing factors of creativity, but there has very few studies about the process of creativity. Particularly, much fewer study on the cognitive process of creativity.Creative cognition aim at exploring these themes-how creativity happened, which cognitive processes exist and which cognitive factors effect creativity. Former creative cognition mainly have study its similarities and differences with non-creative cognition. It also has independently analyzed some important cognitive processes among creative processes. After synthesize the former and their own research findings, in1992, Finke and et al proposed the "the geneplore model" of creativity. In this model, creative process include generation phase(association/combination/transformation and so on), exploration phase(exploration/evaluation and so on) and product constraints. After that, many researchers have separately study this two-phases and one-constraints, further explorer the process of activation, combination and constraints. But few studies entirely researched these three aspects. This article mainly focuses on creative imagery, explore imagery activation, decomposition, combination, materials constraints and task requirement in the two-phases and one-constraints of the geneplore model. In detail, jigsaw puzzle experiment aims at exploring the process of imagery activation (generation phase) and the effect of material constraints (product constraints) to creativity. Follow-drawing experiment aims at the researching decomposition and combination process (product constraints) and the effect of task requirement (exploration phase).Use the consensual assessment technique (CAT) and the test for creative thinking-drawing production (TCT-DP) as the measurement to evaluate the generative products.6psychology students were judgers and62kindergarten kids were subjects in each experiment. In this study, the results showed:a) Gender differences in creativity are affected by task. Girls scores little higher in jigsaw puzzle task, no differences in follow-drawing task. b) There has a process of overall assessment of products in creative process. The products can be named score higher.c) Creativity is affected by inter-field Knowledge, more inter-field knowledge, more creative.d) Activation is one of processes in creative process. People’s creativity can be improved after his(her) imagery been activatede) Creativity is affected by material constraints. Much more material be used, the products can be more creative.f) Creativity is affected by task-requirement. People who are asked to be creative score higher.g) The operating of decomposing and combining to the elements or material can improve people’performance...
