This paper for the study of Chinese Verbal Measure Words, mainly use cognitivelinguistic theory on cognitive analysis, syntactic function and semantic analysis of theresearch, and strive on Verbal Measure Words a more systematic and in-depthunderstanding.The text is divided into three parts:The first part is the introduction. Discourse the problems of the research ofVerbal Measure Words as well as the theories and methods in the process of this study.Which describe a sub-class division, semantic research and the history of theVerbal Measure Words and other related questions. And have an initial understandingof the Verbal Measure Words.The second part is the first chapter to the third chapter.Chapter1use the concept of "bounded" and "unbounded" to distinct between theactions of "bounded" and "unbounded", conclude that there is antithesis betweenmeasurable verb and immeasurable verb. In addition, Verbal Measure Words can bedefined as combined numerals, mainly used for the measurement of the frequency ofthe verb.Chapter2use the theory of cognitive linguistics. First, the "quantity","momentum" in the cognitive degree of certainty as the start and end of the dynamicprocess of cognitive boundary, which became a separate part. Cognitive markeventually became the Verbal Measure Words. Through the words of the Ancient textglyph and modern semantic change of momentum words and some momentum glyphanalysis and cognitive metonymy, metaphor theory combination of momentum wordsthe evolution of better understanding.Chapter3through analysis semantic features and syntactic function ofVerbal Measure Words, to explore the syntactic function of modern Chinese tenspecial Verbal Measure Words and two classes of borrow Verbal Measure Words.The third part is the conclusion. Summarizing the contents of the full text, anddraw the appropriate conclusions.
