| This paper takes nine Chinese special verbal measure words as research object and analyzes the types and causes of errors made by international students of intermediate and advanced Chinese level when they learn and use these measure words. Methods used in this research include error analysis, contrastive analysis, experiment and etc. The statistical results collected from corpus of written Chinese of international students in Jinan University shows that disorder of numeral-classifier phrases in sentences, misused and mistaken special verb measure words are three main types of error. Then test papers designed according to the statistics are hung out to international students of intermediate and advanced level in School of Foreign Languages, Sun Yat-Sen University. According to the test result, four main causes of errors are negative transfer of mother tongue, negative transfer of knowledge of the target language, influence produced by study and communication strategy, influence produced by teaching material and teachers. In the end of the paper, some practical suggestions are proposed. |
