Involuntary Autobiographical Memories refer to a kind of memoriesphenomenon that the individual past experience come up to our mind automaticallywithout retrieval actively. Studies about Involuntary Autobiographical Memories havefound that the most of content of Involuntary Autobiographical Memories areconcrete events and the proportion of speciifc memories is heavily higher than theproportion of voluntary memories. We can call above phenomenon the speciifcadvantage. The study did not draw a clear conclusion, viewed from character ofexternal cues. This study mainly explores the factors of influencing this phenomenonbased on the predecessors’ research, however, from cognitive level and cues characteraspects by fence paradigm inducing Involuntary Autobiographical Memories inlaboratory. The results of the study are showed below:(1)Representation style has signiifcant effect to the proportion of speciifcmemories in Involuntary Autobiographical Memories,but has no signiifcant effect tothe number of memories.(2)Abstract level of external cues has signiifcant effect to the proportion ofspeciifc memories in Involuntary Autobiographical Memories.(3)Emotional valence of external cues has no signiifcant effect to the proportionof speciifc memories in Involuntary Autobiographical Memories.(4)Image representation have positive regulation on the process of positive andabstract cues induced IAMs.
