The Cantonese used in Guangxi provice, which has developed along the West River during many years,spreads widely and has all kinds of characteristics. Various dialects in Guiping,which is a historical famous city, are quite different. The pronunciation of the local language varies in different towns in southern district. There are Cantonese and Hakka dialects mainly at northern district in which Min dialects scatters in a small number of villages. Cantonese, as the dominant dislect in Guiping, is widely used. Consequently, we select the Cantonese in Jintian, Guiping as the object to make a complete study.Cantonese in Jintian, as an important component of Cantonese in southeastern of Gui, not only has the Cantonese general characteristics, but also has a number of special linguistic phenomena, which is need to be deeply studied, such as two fricatives, the combination of Yangping and Yangqu tones, the bidirectional effects of Hakka and Cantonese. The article uses detailed description and comparison as the basic methods. Cantonese in Jintian is longitudinally compared with Ancient Chinese phonology and transversely contrasted with Cantonese of Guangzhou, in order to find out the phonetic appearance of Cantonese in Jintian. In the third part, lexicon is described and analyzed completely. The focus of this paper is the lexicon study of special pronunciation and historical levels analysis. The main innovation is the analysis of the historical level of initial consonant and finals and the historical level of variant pronunciation and language contact. As virgin lands, Cantonese in Jintian has not been involved by other scholars. So the article describes and analyzes the linguistic appearance of Cantonese in Jintian, hoping to provide materials and references for further research on Cantonese in western region.
