Since its inception in1840, the saxophone has been promoted widely andpreferred by audience for its perfect combination of grand and bright brass tone andrural and beautiful woodwind tone, and its overtone mimicking the human voicesinging. As saxophone’s birth time is slightly later than other classical instruments,repertoires were scarce in its important period of rapid development in the earlytwentieth century. People often transplanted good works of creations of our ancestorsfor other instruments to satisfy the needs of saxophone development. Playing formswere enriched and playing skills were constantly improved in norms of playingclassical music works.Instrumental works were emphasized and developed unprecedentedly for greatJ.S. Bach in Baroque period. The Unaccompanied Cello Suite has become the OldTestament in instrumental works for its unprecedented status. The saxophone givesthis masterpiece the new interpretation through its own sound charm.The saxophone has considerable development prospects, it is booming in ourcountry, major institutions have also featured saxophone specialty. The saxophone hasbeen popularized and promoted to a certain extent in our country, but the study of thesaxophone is still quite scarce, especially in playing analyses of saxophone works.The object of playing study of saxophone works will be locked to the J.S. BachUnaccompanied Cello Suite No.1. In the first chapter, playing analyses of this workstonality and style are made; Chapter II, playing analyses of syntax, structure and style;Chapter III, playing analyses of continuous blowing and style; Chapter IV, playinganalyses of speed, strength, rhythm and style. Through researches and analyses,further exploration is made about playing problems and expression methods.Main viewpoints: The overall aesthetics of the Baroque style should be followedin the treatment of playing the Unaccompanied Cello Suite No.1. Specific analysesshould be made about Bach’s creative features and dance style in the layout ofintensity, emotional control in multi-level and multi-view.
