Almost all the Chinese acquirers and experts in Chinese Language teachingprofession think that Chinese character teaching is the emphasis and the difficulty inthe Second Language Acquisition and the easy mixed homophones is much moredifficult. The emphasis of character teaching was focused on the classification andteaching method of the Chinese Characters in Similar Shape in Chinese CharacterGrading Syllabus, and the impact of the homophones, synonyms on Second LanguageAcquisition was be ignored. This is lack of systematic study of the present situation ofthe homophone acquisition and the reasons of the bias. With the help of BeijingLanguage a Dynamic Corpus, this article analyzed2905characters in ChineseCharacter Grading Syllabus. Identified133groups,288Homonym ConfusableCharacters. It classified them into four groups from the shape and the meaning. Theyare homonym near-shaped characters, homonym near-meaning characters, homonymsnear shaped and nearly meaning characters and homophones characters. Studied thecurrent situation of teaching and acquisition of the Homonym Confusable Charactersby questionnaire and corpus. Inspected the reasons of the bias comprehensively. Thecommon degree of Chinese characters, the complexity of Chinese characters, meaningsimilarity and the fuzziness of the meaning will affect the homonym Confusablecharacters acquisition. On this basis, proposed the teaching principles and methods inhomonym Confusable characters teaching.
