| There is no doubt that textbook plays an important part in the teaching ofChinese as a foreign language. A good study of a textbook can find out the advantagesand disadvantages of the textbook and in return help a teacher make better use of itand suggestions can be made for those who compile new textbooks.The thesis, taking the two text books Intermediate Chinese Writing Course andIntermediate Writing Course as its study objects, aims at doing a comparative studyon them in the following research approaches including documentary study, statisticalanalysis. The thesis lists out major theories on the compilation of textbook, in whichway it deals with former studies on the writing course of Chinese as a foreignlanguage, to establish the theoretical basis, making comparative analysis of the projectand the corresponding evaluation criteria. The tow sets of textbooks are mainlycompared in such aspects: as teaching principles, samples in writing, writing skills,exercise and activities, supporting facilities and external form, and so on. Through thecomparison, the advantages and disadvantages of the two textbooks are found out andthus fruitful experience is gained for the compilation of new textbooks. And textbookcompilation and use advice is put forward. It is earnestly hope that the thesis wouldmake contributions to improvement of textbook compilation of Chinese as a secondlanguage as well as teaching of it. |
