That is to say, what fields those words tend to belonging to?2) Are thereany connections between the adjective meanings and the verb meanings of the sameword? If there is, then what are the mapping-correlativities between the adjectivemeanings and the verb meanings and how do the correlate to each other?3) What isthe significance of the existence of these words and the purpose of using them? The research methods of this thesis are:1) Categorize the words into sevencategories according to the adjective meanings of the words, and then induce from thecategories the fields those words belong to.2) Group the words into six groups underthe seven categories; analyze each group from the perspective of image-schema andfind out the connections or links between the adjective meaning(s) and verbmeaning(s) of the same word. |
