On The "Yi Ju Hua(一句话)"

This paper studies the Hard-wiring of "Yi Ju Hua(一句话)" in modern Chinese, which is explained in detail from the semantic features, the Performance of syntactic and the semantic function. The two kinds of Hard-wiring were directly extended from the original meaning. We tried to reveal the process of the Hard-wiring of "Yi Ju Hua" by multiple linguistic theories.The article is divided into seven parts:Chapter Ⅰ:Introduction. It begins with describing the reason and the significance of the topic, of this subject. And the study is limited to "Yi Ju Hua" in the affirmative sentence. Then we discuss the research of the theory of "Hard-wiring" and "Yi Ju Hua".Chapter Ⅱ:Due to the different result and process of hard-wiring,"Yi Ju Hua" is divided into three categories:"Yi Ju Hua1" expresses the original meaning;"Yi Ju Hua2" is a discourse marker;"Yi Ju Hua3" has the action meaning.Chapter Ⅲ:As the discourse marker,"Yi Ju Hua2" shows a rich feature, which classifies the "Yi Ju Hua2" to in-sentence discourse marker and pre-sentence discourse marker. According to the location of the "Yi Ju Hua2", it has different scopes and logical relations. But all the analysis highlights the "Yi Ju Hua2" as a discourse marker of generality.Chapter Ⅳ:We investigate the process of formation and development of the "Yi Ji Hua" in historical perspective and reconstruct the Hard-wiring process of "Yi Ju Hua2". It has the referring function on the summary contents of the sentence. By the help of preposition "yong(用)", it forms a construction "yong+Yi Ju Hua+summary verb". The syntactic position and semantic contamination lead hard-wiring of "Yi Ju Hua2" to discourse marker.Chapter Ⅴ:Based on the description of the referring of the nouns and noun phrases, we concretely analyzed the referring function of the three kind of "Yi Ju Hua". In the process of hard-wiring,"Yi Ju Hua2" carried on the "Yi Ju Hua1" referring function. While,"Yi Ju Hua3" is non-referential, for that it could not find a referent in the context. But it is given "action" meaning by metonymy.Chapter Ⅵ; Analysis on the "Yi Ju Hua1to "Yi Ju Hua3" by metonymic theoretical. The change of cognitive domain results in the development of "Yi Ju Hua" from low-level metonymy to senior predication metonymy. And finally, we discuss the specific performance of "Yi Ju Hua3" as the sentence extracellular components.Chapter VII:Conclusion.
