This thesis takes fifteen famous novels in the Ming and Qing dynasties as thecenter to explore the "rural description".Thesis including three parts, the first part is the introduction, to define the termsthat in this thesis as well as present research situation of “rural description” in theMing and Qing novels and the development trend and research ideas, methods andsignificance of this article takes.The second part is this article main body part, six chapters.The first chapter is an overview, a total of two, for the status and features of"rural description" in novels in the Ming and Qing dynasties will be revealed.The second chapter, from the perspective of rural environment, is divided intofour sections, the first two whole display from the natural environment and socialenvironment. In the third section of "rural description" the characteristics of the ruralenvironment description to the discussion. The fourth section mainly discusses therural landscape and the relationship between the novel narrative and lyricalexpression.The third chapter from the perspective of rural people to make analysis of thecharacter classification method is adopted, the Ming and Qing novels of ruralcharacter as rebellious heroes, the reclusive country countryman hermit, the city andvillage witch doctors and other professional township, rural reader, order amount andthe farmer the farmer seven categories, and the group characteristics, mental outlook,such as make a review, and its function in literary expression.The fourth chapter is from the perspective of rural and its customs, which isdivided into three. The first section is the rural overview of its customs. The secondsection is of the township in Ming and Qing novels about its customs "rural" features.The third section comment on writing significance of rural its customs.The fifth chapter in this paper is the description of narrative function of “ruraldescription” that in the Ming and Qing novels which is divided into four sections as"hot and cold of economic, relaxation and white" narrative rhythm, absence ofblanking and of rural, rural narrative perspective with defamiliarizationnarrative,"strange","risk" and "fun","taste" narrative tension.Chapter six discusses the lyricism and aesthetic implication of “rural description”in the Ming and Qing novels. In the first quarter from the angle of lyricism toinvestigation, the author mainly analyzes which embodies the ideal home and paradiselost mentality and show the double meaning of lyric writing. The second quarter isfrom the aesthetic angle analysis which is divided into four parts as poetic beauty,simple beauty, rhythm beauty and fabulous beauty. The third part is the conclusion and summary of the research results.
